Scripture Directs Us

Many of us in life are looking for direction, today we find hope and meaning in all sorts of things, sports, relationships, hobbies, but what is the true meaning? The Bible teaches us just that God has a plan for us (Jeremiah 29:11). Just as God moved in the Old Testament times and in the early church, he is alive, and active in the churches today. When, we need direction the first thing we should do is look to God’s Word, the Bible and not look to our own understanding or way of doing things, that you may have “… full assurance of understanding… (Col. 2:2). God has promised that, “… I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee….”, but what does that mean? It, means when times get hard, when we feel like we can no longer deal with our problems God is right there with us in our suffering. From our suffering we tend to grow and the ultimate purpose in them (besides salvation), is that God might be gloried and that we can grow as a person. Growing as a person is a life-long process and none of us can do it perfectly or be 100% like Christ. God can even do the impossible his Holy Word teaches us in Jesus’ own words, “…With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26).” Right now, God says, “I stand at the door, and knock (Revelation 3:20)”. What does that mean? It, means God is knocking at the door of the church, thus the people in it and when we surrender to Him he will guide us and help us overcome or weaknesses. The Bible teaches us where we are weak God is strong. So, let us be humble and willing for God to move in us and transform us. God Bless.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16)

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1:21)

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. (James 1:6)
