Bible Teaching

We are often taught by preachers about God’s word we learn from Acts 17:11, that we should search the scripture to see if the things a preacher teaches us are true. Everything should be tested according to God’s word. The Bible is the answer to life’s struggles and even when things look down God will never let us down. Always ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand and remember as you read. “But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. John 14:26” Amen

God’s Loving

God is 100% loving, in fact He loved us so much that He gave Jesus Christ to die for us. “We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19”. The great part is not only did Jesus die but He rose from the dead and is alive today. Staying in the love of God does not mean we must behave ourselves or do works to merit salvation. God is not going to love us less when we sin, “God loves the sinner and hates the sin”. This means that we develop a strong trust in the love and mercy of God. How do we do this? Peter gives us the key — it is by faith in Jesus that we have hope and are able to live for God. God’s promises are real and provide a hope that understands that God is near us and with us even when we suffer. Living in a sinful world means we will experience hardships that may leave us stuck in grief, fear and insecurity, making us paralyzed and it’s hard to hold-on. However, through Jesus we can walk in victory and know that no matter how hard life is, God is holding us in His arms and with us when we suffer. I thank God for the victory in Christ Jesus. Amen

Jesus is Victory

We can walk in victory through Jesus because of His love, wisdom, and power, “…Death is swallowed up in victory. 1 Corinthians 15:54”. What that means is that Jesus overcame death. “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1 Corinthians 15:56”. Since Jesus died for our sins then rose from the dead, through His blood we will overcome. Life can be hard and full of struggles yet we have a God that knows what it’s like to be human, “…and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4”. Through faith in Christ and the grace of God we have been saved from hell. It is great to know we have a God that loves us so much He was willing to do anything to assure that we could live with Him someday. Amen

God Loves Us

We as Christian’s need to realize that God loves us more than we can imagine.  God’s character is loving in fact 1 John 4:8 tells us that God is Love.  God loves us because he made us all after his image.  If you notice the Bible doesn’t say that we were created in our own image or in a worldly image but instead the Bible teaches us that we were made in the image of God.  God created us and sent his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.  Now that Jesus Christ has died, and risen again, there is no reason that we should live life without being forgiven.  We all need to walk with God as we grow in Him and realize that God will forgive us our sins.  We also need to realize that through the blood of Jesus our sins are forgiven.  We as Christian’s have great hope for a better life, a life with God when there is no sorrow, mourning, or pain. Amen

Honor God

Proverbs 1:7 teaches us that when we honor the Lord it gives us the ability to find wisdom and be led by His spirit. We are able to walk in peace, power and great victory through the Lord Jesus Christ. When we begin to focus our eyes and our hearts beyond our circumstances we are able to get victory over our struggles through Jesus. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10”. In Acts 10:2 we learn of a man that feared God and had great respect for Him. What does it mean to fear God? It means that we look to Him for wisdom and instruction and that we put His will above our own. The Bible teaches us that the ways of God are greater than the ways of man. God is beyond our mortal ability to understand, He is great. God came to earth as 100% man and 100% God. I thank God for dying on the cross (and rising from the dead), for our sins. The atonement is the greatest show of love that God could give us. Amen

Knowing Christ

Jesus revealed His power and authority in many ways such as through miracles, healing and rising from the dead. Jesus came to save us from our sins. Salvation is not given through good works, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12”. I am thankful that Jesus gives salvation through the grace of a sovereign God who unites me to Him through faith. When Jesus was praying while He was on earth He wanted everyone to know God and Him personally. “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3”. I am thankful that we can know God personally, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Timothy 2:5”. It is great to know that Jesus Christ is enough, we don’t need a priest, or friend to intercede on our behalf. All we need is God and Jesus Christ who He sent to pay for our sins. Amen

Jesus Proclaimed

The message of Jesus Christ and forgiveness of sins was proclaimed in the early church (…Through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Acts 13:38) and continues to be preached today. Salvation is given to all those who believe and accept the message of Jesus Christ. The reward of Heaven is given not through works (Eph. 2:9, Romains 9:11) but through God who has called us all, “into the kingdom of his dear Son: Col. 1:13).” What does all this mean? It means that God has chosen us for salvation and paved the way through the death of His dear son. It is through Jesus Christ only that we go to Heaven. Like the Bible says it is not of works or we would boast it is through God. May everyone accept the gift of salvation God has given. Amen

Peace of Christ

Phil. 4:7 teaches us that God’s peace is beyond our human ability to understand and is in our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. Scripture says in Matthew chapter 6 verses 31-33 (KJV), “Take no thought, saying, what we shall eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these things? “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you.” My hope is that we can all walk in the peace, wisdom, power and the victory God has given us through Jesus Christ. “And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. James 3:18” May we all trust in Christ, walk with Him daily and, “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Col. 3:15”. Amen

One Way to God

There is one way to God (1 Timothy 2:5), and no one else can intercede on our behalf. 1 Timothy 2:4 tells us that God desires everyone to be saved. Jesus desires for all to have the knowledge of what the Gospel of Salvation is and to accept it. I am thankful for God’s mercy & faithfulness. Amen

Ambassadors for Christ

We are ambassadors for Christ? What does that mean? We represent Christ and are united to Him through the death of Christ (and He rose from the dead). God does not count our sins against us (2 Corinthians 5:20-21). I am thankful that Christ, who is the only way to salvation, provides a way to escape the wrath of God and be forgiven. Amen
